GOLFZON is in the midst of global qualifying for the 3rd GOLFZON International Tournament, with qualifiers from 12 countries determined by the low scores in each country as of August 31.
To enter qualifying, find the nearest GOLFZON location here
www.global.golfzon.com/gz/competition/GLFDetail?tournamentMainSeq=583.There are 35 qualifying sites globally and 21 in North America (six in the United States).
Entries into the qualifying must sign up at a GOLFZON location and play 18 holes. Multiple rounds are accepted. The low score - and possibly the low two finishers - from each country at the end of August will qualify for the International final in South Korea in October. At least $2,000 in prizes will be available in each country's qualifier. Each finalist will receive airfare, accommodations, meals and greens fees for the final, which awards $11,000 in prizes.
The finals are scheduled for Oct. 18-19 in South Korea, with a 36-hole competition on a golf simulator and a real golf course. On Oct. 18, finalists will play simulator golf at GOLFZON ZOIMARU, GOLFZON's Headquarters in Daejeon, South Korea. On Oct. 19, the field will play real golf at GOLFZON County Anseong Q Golf Club.
In 2017, there were 12 finalists among 900 participants who made it to South Korea, representing the United States, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, China and Australia, with China's Han Zue Gang taking the individual championship. In the International Tournament's debut in 2016, nearly 900 golfers from seven countries and 20 finalists participated, with Chinese professional Bin Gao taking the title at the November conclusion.
"I am honored to win the championship in the first international golf tournament held by GOLFZON," Bin Gao said in 2016. "I was astonished at the outstanding simulation golf skills of competitors from other countries, and it provided me a chance of enjoying the simulation golf as delightful as playing the field golf."
